As sure as we will hunger within our lifetime we will die, we will watch loved ones die, we will walk past and through cemeteries, we will stop in traffic for funeral processions and send flowers to funeral homes for those we mourn….The reality is, how we treat the dead mirrors how we treat the living—a human person has an eternal dignity as he/she was created in the image and likeness of God. 

As Catholics, we are called to imitate the life of Christ by living His commands to love God and love our neighbor, honoring the dignity of every person we encounter with great humility.

Teaching our children the value and the importance of truth-telling is something that we all want to instill in them as they grow; however, it’s important for us also to remember that Truth isn’t something that is only meant to be spoken: it is meant to be expressed, and lived.
